Pianist Dr. Hyeson Sarah Ahn was born in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Ahn was a piano professor at University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, and Normandale College for her professional career as well as maintaining a private piano studio more than 20 years. Her extensive knowledge and experience allow her to connect with students on many levels and lead them to develop to the best of their abilities.
Dr. Ahn's students have received numerous awards and held winner concerts from many local and nationwide piano competitions. Former students are currently majoring in piano study at Indiana University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, University of Minnesota, and Luther College.
Dr. Ahn is a member of KIPP(Korea Institution of Piano Pedagogy), and presented special lectures on piano teaching to piano teachers and piano major students at numerous Universities. Her interest on piano pedagogy led her to publish about piano repertoire book. She is working on hosting KIPP international e-piano competition as an artistic director.
Dr. Ahn currently teaches at her home studio where she teaches from children to adults, from beginners to professionals.
